Maysoor are proud to present the seventh in a series of learning Arabic tutorials. This video explores Al Idaafah (possession). This lesson coincides with Lesson 05 from the Madinah Book series where the Mudaafun wa Mudaafun ilayhi (Possessed and Possessor) rule can be found. This is quite arguably one of the most different rules to understand and grasp in Madinah Book 01, but with hard work and determination inshaAllaah things will all begin to make sense. The Mudaafun wa Mudaafun ilayhi construction is the relationship between two noun whereby the first noun in possessed or owned by the second. Similar to how we express, "The student's pen" or "The door of the mosque" in English by using the possessive apostrophe "s" or placing the word "of" between the two nouns to demonstrate possession, we can also express this meaning in Arabic ensuring each noun meets certain regulations. We will touch upon the rules pertaining to each noun in this episode and also provide ample examples for your to enjoy and learn from inshaAllah. This video has been produced in conjunction with Al Madinah Students 2010.Maysoor Team2011
